Jigsaw NI was set-up to provide activities for people with disabilities. Improving quality of life for those with disabilities is at the heart of the project, including social interaction with others.

Health & Well-being activities

Jigsaw NI helps prevent adults with disabilities becoming sedentary and socially excluded. We encourage our service users to get involved, participate in an activity which they enjoy, learn new skills and get out of their houses to socially interact with other members of the community.

Referral/Member form

Feel free to download our referral/service user form if you or somone you know may be interested in joining a group. Complete the form and return to Jigsaw NI.

Please note: If you require one to one care or help with any personal care needs (i.e. toileting, changing, feeding etc), the service user must bring this support with them (i.e. carer/family member).

Mission Statement

Putting the Pieces together for People with Disabilities.

Thanks to Jigsaw NI on your hard work and dedication - You are making a big contribution towards making my husband's quality of life much better. (Wife/Carer of a Service user)

What makes us unique

Jigsaw NI provide an important and unique service. There are three main aspects that make us unique:

  1. Our Belfast activity groups are comprised of adults with varying types of disabilities, unlike other organisations we cater for many types of disabilities together. Some of our service users have commented on this saying that they feel it is great to have the diversity in the group. Our Bangor groups are solely for people with brain injuries.
  2. Service users can stay in our groups for as long as they feel they benefit from it and as long as they are regularly attending. The groups are not time-based. Many organisations run 6-8 week programmes and it is only when participants are starting to benefit from the programme, that it ends and there is nothing for them to go to.
  3. For the Belfast groups, we accept self-referrals as well as referrals from health professionals and other organisations. For the Bangor groups though, all referrals must go through one of three teams in the South Eastern Trust - Community Brain Injury team, Community Stroke team or Physical Health & Disability team.
